- Ruckus Outdoor 802.11ac Access Point – ZoneFlex T300
As with all Ruckus AP's this will provide the BeamFlex antenna's that make the Ruckus Products so formidable in the wireless arena, providing omni directional coverage in both 2.4ghz and 5Ghz, with physical beamforming in action. It can perform up to 1.2Gbps over the air speeds. Compare this to the Ruckus ZoneFlex 7762 access point which tops out at 600Mbps.
It is actually lower in cost to the previous base model outdoor access point with an RRP of £835 vs the ZoneFlex 7762 at £1289, but does perform better in most situations.
You get the benefits of using this access point with 802.11ac capable devices, but it even increases performance for 802.11n devices.
It doesn't quire a heater like the 7762 model either with an operating temperature of -20°C to 55°C. It can run off of standard 802.3af power whereas most other 802.11ac products on the market require 802.11at power, which can mean expensive upgrades to your switch network. The size of the unit is pretty small compared to the competition, see the comparison with the Aruba AP-275 802.11ac AP;
The Ruckus Zoneflex T300 outdoor access point will be available very soon.
