Managing your wireless network

Wireless networks both indoor and outdoor have become an integral part of IT, and are now everywhere. From the indoor WLAN that runs mission critical applications such as general connectivity for web and email, Wireless VOIP for handsets, barcode scanners for warehouse operations. To outdoor links between buildings that may have numerous users and applications reliant on them.

Understanding what is happening with a network is crucial for IT managers, and also to the customers that you support. Having an overview of a wireless network is now critical so that support staff have the information to hand know the status of any access point or link.

WNMS (Wireless Network Management System)

WNMS is a FREE enterprise grade Wireless Network Management System. Single software solution simplifies a large number of management and monitoring tasks for network administrator. Comprehensive network management software supports up to several thousand of nodes. Multiple networks may be maintained and monitored using one server. Rich feature set helps to diagnose network problems effectively, visualize network on map, perform automatically scheduled firmware upgrades, track states of devices, get alerts about failures, collect statistics and many other things. Web-based system environment supports multi-user accounts. Several administrators may manage different networks on the same server, without having access to each other's equipment.

Ligowave and Deliberant have the inbuilt ability to connect to WNMS directly with a simple URL entered into the GUI of the device at initial setup, third party devices can be connected with SWEAP (SNMP to WNMS) allowing any SNMP enabled network devices to run via WNMS giving a centralised dashboard across all devices.

WNMS can be run either via the cloud based version (free for up to 20 Devices) or hosted on your own in house server, completely free of charge
