Introducing the Ruckus R300 - Latest low cost wireless access point

The Ruckus R300 is a new addition to the Ruckus Wireless range of access points. It is a 2x2:2 Dual band access point and enters the range as a low cost, low end solution.

On the face of it, the specs look good and you may ask yourself why you shouldn't buy R300 access points instead of the more expensive 7372's. While the R300 is an impressive little access point - there are a few key differences:

It has a lower overall gain than the 7372
It doesn\'t have Dual polarized antennas
It has less RF patterns for beamflex than the 7372
There are no optional mounting brackets, just what you get in the box
Mesh is not supported
Application recognition will not be supported

So as you can see, there are many reasons why you should spend the extra. However if the above list doesn\'t cause you any problems, then maybe the R300 is the AP for you!
