Brocade named a leader as a WLAN Infrastructure Vendor

So first of all what is the WLAN infrastructure Vendor Scorecard and what does it matter?

The WLAN Infrastructure Vendor Scorecard profiles, analyzes, and ranks the leading vendors of WLAN infrastructure. The only report of its kind, this vendor scorecard evaluates vendors on criteria using actual data and metrics, such as direct feedback from enterprise buyers, vendor market share, share momentum, financials and solution portfolio. This approach eliminates subjective scoring and ensures vendors are assessed accurately and fairly.

What does being a leader on the score card actually me?

Leaders on the score card are recognised as performing strongly across all evaluation criteria and vectors. Leaders have established a significant presence in the market and have positive momentum, which means they are likely to cement and expand their leadership positions in the future.

Earlier in January, IDC also named Ruckus (part of Brocade) as a Leader in its annual 'MarketScape: Worldwide Enterprise WLAN 2016-2016 Vendor Assessment', where they were recognized for their RF innovation and portfolio enhancements.

The recognition from both IHS and IDC is a testament to what we already knew as the Number One Northan European Ruckus Wireless Partner - Brocade/Ruckus constantly innovate to deliver a simply better wireless solutions with flexible offerings and a superior focus on RF performance.

What innovations got them here?

Patented Ruckus technologies such as BeamFlex+ and ChannelFly provide more reliable wireless connectivity and higher device density per access point in the most challenging high density environments. Over the past 12 months they streamlined their focus to deliver superior RF functionality and added new architecture options such as virtual, controller-less, and even cloud-based management platforms. DigitalAir Wireless was the first to market to offer a virtual controller platform for Ruckus Wireless through CloudCoded - a Wi-Fi as a Service (WaaS) platform powered by Ruckus Technology, offering Cloud-Based carrier class Wi-Fi to enterprises across the globe.

Ruckus have expanded their access points with the most advanced 802.11ac Wave 2 offering now indoor and outdoor, from the entry-level to the high-density offering from their ZoneFlex and Unleashed series.
